The Academic Cell serves as the central coordinating body for all postgraduate academic activities within the institute. It is responsible for planning, implementing, and monitoring competency-based training programs in alignment with the guidelines of the National Medical Commission and University of Delhi. It ensures the smooth conduct, regulation, and continuous enhancement of postgraduate medical education, research, and training programs. By maintaining academic quality, regulatory compliance, and continuous evaluation, the Academic Cell plays a pivotal role in shaping competent and skilled medical specialists.

Academic Programs:
1. MD program
The MD (Doctor of Medicine) program is a three-year postgraduate training course designed to develop in-depth clinical knowledge, diagnostic skills, and academic competence in the chosen specialty. Conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the National Medical Commission, the program follows a competency-based curriculum integrating structured teaching, supervised clinical exposure, research, and continuous assessment. Residents are actively involved in patient care, seminars, journal clubs, and interdisciplinary learning, while also completing a mandatory thesis. The program aims to produce skilled, ethical, and evidence-based physicians capable of delivering high-quality healthcare and contributing to medical research and education.

2. DM/MCh program
The DM/MCh programs are super-specialty postgraduate courses designed to provide advanced, focused training in specific medical and surgical disciplines. Conducted in accordance with the guidelines of the National Medical Commission, these programs emphasize high-level clinical expertise, complex procedural skills, and independent decision-making. Training includes intensive hands-on experience, multidisciplinary collaboration, research, and teaching responsibilities, along with a dissertation.
